Shark Bay Road, North-west Coastal Highway, Useless Loop and Exmouth Rd, Miniliya: Flora and Fauna Assessment
ecologia was commissioned by MRWA to conduct biological (ie flora, vegetation and fauna) surveys to support an application to clear vegetation for proposed material extraction areas near Shark Bay/Miniliya totalling more than 500ha.
The purpose of the surveys was to determine the key flora, vegetation and fauna values of the study area and required mapping of vegetation condition and mapping of ecological communities within designated survey areas. The scope included a desktop assessment, a field survey, a single phase detailed flora and vegetation survey, to delineate and describe vegetation communities, including with targeted searches for conservation significant flora (ie Threatened and Priority listed species) and a level 1 fauna and fauna habitat survey of the study area.
